Snowy Icy Days

For other places in the U.S. this is not unusual, but for us this is big!
Our neighbor's tin roof had curtains of snow handing off his eaves yesterday. They would fall off when we shut our door! It's not even that close to our house. The sound vibrations made it break off.
Our van is an icebox now.
Our little house stays really warm through it all
Marc goes off to work through the snow. Yesterday a police officer pulled up beside him on the road to ask him if everything was OK, if he had a car stuck anywhere or if he was in trouble. "No, thank you, I'm fine, I'm just walking to work!" he explained. (Hey, iedereen, als je wil al de foto's groter zien, klik maar op de fotos en ze zal groter worden... in de eerste post, ook) He just called to say one of the trees at the new house fell over and he'll have to do a lot of cutting to get his van out of there. He left his van there when it really began to snow. Now there are no trees growing close to the house.
 Ice above our back door
It's raining ice right now. Walking on the snow is so strange- there is a crust on the snow and it is very loud!
Ice on the wall of our house
We are staying at home with hot soup and hot chocolate! (Unless we are outdoors sledding!)
We were at the new house a couple of days ago and I heard neighbors talking and there were kids playing in the street, snowmen were up everywhere... It's going to be very different! We are used to absolute quiet here. We don't even know our neighbors. Well, we know two. And we know the name of one guy who works across the street. But that's it. Our nieghbors at the new house had a sign up a few days ago that said
WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM.
Amen!
